The Dodge Brothers, from who this famous US motoring name derived, began their association with vehicles as bicycle manufacturers, switched to producing parts for early automobile makers and later formed a close and initially successful association with Henry Ford, joining his board of directors. In 1914, incensed by Ford's dictatorial methods, they parted company with his amd so the Dodge company was set up. Thomas McPherson presents here a history of that company up to 1975. His study is largely pictorial, arranged in annual sections, each with introductory notes explaining significant developments. With up to six photos of different models or variants appearing on most pages this is a book crammed full with interesting and clear illustrations. As well as cars, trucks, other commercial vehicles and military models are shown. A treasure trove for the Dodge enthusiast.
