The 65 exquisite works in this exhibition were drawn on Bauer’s voyage around Australia with Matthew Flinders on the Investigator between 1801 and 1803. The images were more than accurate scientific depictions of the exotic plants and animals collected in Australia, they were extraordinary works of art in their own right.
