Greer Lascelles Twiss ONZM (born 23 June 1937) is a New Zealand sculptor, and in 2011 was the recipient of an Icon Award from the Arts Foundation of New Zealand, limited to 20 living art-makers.

Greer Twiss is one of the longest-working and producing of New Zealand's postwar sculptors. Greer has been recognised as an Icon by the Arts Foundation of New Zealand. He has produced an astonishing body of work over some six decades and is still a fully productive, inventive, and innovative figure. His work is characterised by great diversity as he has shifted through various themes, media, and methods, but for all that diversity there is a unique and unshakable path that binds all together. This book is richly illustrated and ably interpreted with a text from Dr. Robin Woodward and expanded notes and chronology from Greer himself. Altogether these provide an enduring record and a more comprehensive insight than has previously been possible. Emphasis is placed on the illustrations, which is important for a book on the visual arts, and the two main photographers Haruhiko Sameshima and Greer himself show the works with intelligence and sensitivity.
