New Zealand Railways Otira Railway Station Inspection Logbook 1945 to 1985

This is the Otira Railway Station Inspection Logbook from 1945 to 1985. 

Condition: This ledger is in fair condition. The spine has significant wear with tears and worn fabric - see photos. The internal binding is tight with no loose pages.

The Otira Railway Station was opened on 13 November 1900 (ex-Goat Creek on 15 October 1900) and closed in February 1992.

The entries cover the period from 4.11.1945 till 27.5.1985 (approx. 20 pages) with inspections carried out approximately once a month initially and becoming less frequent as the years passed. The rest of the ledger is blank apart from a few pasted-in NZR documents and a couple of modern photos of the now-closed Otira station.
